Dull Day

I walk with my coffee in my hand heading to my laptop in the guests room which have been quite a mess since I started spending my evenings there, I turn on my laptop, check my facebook, open my gmail account where I find loads of work emails waiting for me. I log in to my msn messenger appearing offline as always and instantly start chatting with my best friend who is also always online appearing offline, I listen to my favorite music while working on this project for the course I enrolled in on a dull day, and I suddenly realize that I miss my family now more than ever!

I miss those days when we used to fight on which movie to watch on a Thursday night, I miss the teatime at sunset in the balcony overlooking the main street, I miss the TV shows that gathered us all in the living room in the evenings, the laundry days (though I used to hate them) when me and my sister would go upstairs enjoy an orange  resting on the swing after a long Friday. It feels like I’m oceans away though I’m just few steps from my sisters’ bedroom where all the fun goes; from movies to parties and coffee breaks. Oh how far technology can take you away from home, family and beloved ones. In a pathetic attempt to end this tragedy, I end this post here and go have a cup of tea with my sisters who are probably watching a movie right this moment.
